Introduction to Nonviolent Communication
Marshall Rosenberg believed that it is in our nature to enjoy giving and receiving from the heart. He was pre-occupied with answering two questions:
What happens to disconnect us from our compassionate nature, leading us to judge others and behave violently?
What allows some people to stay connected to their compassionate nature even under trying circumstances?
He developed a specific approach to communicate with ourselves and each other in a way that allows our natural compassion to flourish and he called it Nonviolent Communication.
In this workshop we will explore:
• What language alienates us from our natural state of compassion
• How we can communicate authentically and stay connected with others
• How we can express ourselves beyond judgements, criticism, blame and demands.
